Continuous Professional Development

For non-Professional Members

All members are encouraged to use the continuing professional development (CPD) function to record CPD activities. This will be especially helpful for Student and Early HFE Career members who plan on applying for Professional Member status at some point.

For all Professional Members

All Professional Members (since 1 April 2025) must complete suitable CPD records using the online HFESNZ portal. CPD must be submitted by the 31 March each year.
Professional Members must provide evidence of completing at least 5 CPD activities totally at least 30 hours over the year. They must also provide a forward plan of 3 CPD activities they plan on completing for the following year.

Please note we are currently making changes to the online CPD activities log which we hope to have ready for 1 April 2025.
