Transport Interest Group

Purpose:

Enhance safety, efficiency, and accessibility of NZ transport systems for all users by progressing the application of human factors through the growth of HFE awareness and capability.

Objectives:

Develop key relationships between the HFESNZ and Transport system designers (which includes those involved in planning, delivery, and regulation)
Transport SIG HFESNZ members are aware of contemporary transport challenges, where human factors application is likely to be beneficial
Key Transport Sector members are aware of the HFESNZ Transport SIG, the scope of HF within a transport setting, and how they can interact with the SIG to develop Human Factors capability and seek advice
Develop capability in HF methods, which can be applied to transport challenges
